Spazju Kreattiv is broadcasting the National Theatre play Young Marx, live from the Bridge Theatre, London.

The play is set in 1850 in Dean Street, Soho, where young socialist revolutionary Karl Heinrich Marx is hiding from the law. At 32, he is already one of the most wanted terrorists in Europe – a lethal cocktail of sharp intelligence and youthful recklessness.

The show deals with the life and times of the influential political writer as he fends off creditors, spies and rival factions, struggles to save his marriage to a beautiful and much-admired wife and deals with his fellow revolutionary Friedrich Engels.

Rory Kinnear plays Marx and Oliver Chris is Engels in this comedy written by Richard Bean and Clive Coleman.

The production is directed by Nicholas Hytner and reunites the creative team behind Broadway and West End hit comedy One Man, Two Guvnors.

The screening is taking place at the St James Cavalier cinema, Valletta, today at 8pm. It is rated PG 13. There will be encores on January 13 at 7.30pm and January 28 at 6pm. For tickets, log on to www.kreattivita.org.
