Emirates Airlines celebrated Australia Day in Malta with local journalists at Chukkas restaurant. Right from the start in 1998, Australia was and still is an important and strategic destination for Emirates Airlines. Over the past years, the airline has provided a seamless daily link and carried over 150,000 passengers and cargo to and from Malta. Addressing journalists, Emirates country manager Paul Fleri Soler said: “Today Emirates operates 13 daily flights to and from Australia. These currently include a quadruple-daily service to Sydney, triple-daily service to Melbourne and Brisbane, a twice-daily service from Perth and a daily service from Adelaide. Furthermore, in 2018, following a code sharing agreement with Qantas, Emirates has increased its coverage on this continent.”

With Emirates, Maltese travellers to Australia can seamlessly connect via one stop at the airline’s modern and convenient Dubai hub. The daily Malta-Larnaca-Dubai flight is operated by an Emirates Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a three class cabin configuration, with eight Private Suites in First Class, 42 lie-flat seats in Business Class and 310 spacious seats in Economy Class. The Dubai to Australia haul is operated by an Airbus A380 or a Boeing 777.
